(IVDD is the common cause of back disability in 8 or so small dog breeds. Genetic testing is unavailable so we monitor by veterinary exam and heritance.)
Eyes, teeth, patellas, hips, and testies are observably good and will be examined by a USDA Veterinarian prior to rehoming.
(Please note: We recommend formal patella testing generally be done after 2-years of age.)
Both Parents are PRA Clear.
(Progressive retinal atrophy, (PRA), is a group of degenerative diseases that affect the eyes. With this disease, the eyes deteriorate over time, eventually leading to blindness.)
Both Parents are
100% Genetically Clear.
(We submit our breeding dogs to full genome genetic/DNA testing through Mars Veterinary ruling out over 200 diseases that may be heritable.)
Canine Description…
Introducing "Royalworth’s Splendid Sasha", a gorgeous shaded red female miniature smooth-haired dachshund. Sasha is not just a beautiful girl, with her iconic red coat color, she also comes with a spirited, sweet, affectionate, and playful temperament that makes her a joy to be around.
As a smaller girl, Sasha's projected adult weight of 8.75 lbs. This is the perfect size to comfortably accompany you wherever you go. She fits effortlessly in a carrier for in-cabin plane, train, or car travel. With her moderate energy level, Sasha would be the perfect match for any loving family seeking a delightful companion.
This beautiful smooth-haired dachshund is also an exemplary specimen of health. Born from parents who have undergone full genome DNA testing and found to be 100% free of mal-mutations. Her father, a Canadian champion, and her champion-bred mother, both have been examine and demonstrate sound structure and strength. Together with a great disposition, Sasha has been given a great foundation for a long and healthy life.
Sasha has already begun her journey into training and socialization. She has experienced Puppy Culture, socialization and confidence building with a Hernando County trainer, ensuring she grows into a well-rounded adult. Additionally, she has been given indoor/outdoor potty training since she was 5-weeks-old. Nonetheless, like any puppy she would still require training in a new environment to understand her new routine. However, our supporting her instinct for cleanliness and good early habits should make house-training a much easier task for her new family.
Sasha expresses curiosity and independence that are typical of female dachshunds. So, she is able to be both a cuddly buddy and self-entertaining. Also as a female dachshund, she will tend to "rule the roost" so to speak, even with larger dogs. But rest assured, her happy-spirited nature and sweetness add enough charm that most are happy to indulge this petite miss.
Whether you're an experienced dachshund owner or are new to our wonderful breed, Sasha is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a touch of elegance into your home. If you are looking for a healthy, spirited, and beautiful miniature dachshund to add to your family, please contact us about Sasha today.
